The Farmer’s Dog Celebrates Everyone’s Dog in Sweet Alma Har’el Spots

The dog food company spotlight the small routines and everyday interactions between people and their pets

The Farmer’s Dog is marking National Pet Month with a campaign called “For Everyone’s Dog,” featuring a series of ads that spotlight the small routines and everyday interactions between people and their pets. The work was made in-house and directed by filmmaker Alma Har’el and produced by Epoch Films.

Rather than centering on product shots or big emotional reveals, the campaign has a more observational style. Across three spots, viewers see snapshots of life with dogs: a captain working aboard his houseboat while his dog follows close behind, two young girls hosting a tea party for their oversized Mastiff and a broader montage of pet owners spending ordinary moments with their animals.

The hero film, set to “What the World Needs Now,” strings together scenes of dogs and owners across various environments and lifestyles. The ads focus on gestures that feel familiar to pet owners—waiting for attention, tagging along during chores or quietly sharing space at home.

Har’el, known for blending documentary realism with stylized filmmaking, brings that same approach to the campaign. The company said the campaign was inspired in part by the relationship between farmers and working dogs, a connection tied to the brand’s name.
