The Farmer’s Dog, the pet food brand known for its emotional storytelling, returns with another love letter to dogs in their unique glory.
Launching today (Aug. 1), the three new ads dial up the emotion and slow-motion heart-tugging to showcase the health-enhancing benefits of its products.
Set to a swaggering, funky soundtrack, “Young Again” features a chihuahua turning heads as it struts through the neighborhood, enjoying a new lease on life thanks to the brand’s fresh dog food plan.
Meanwhile, with anthemic rock playing, “The Jump” follows an energetic retriever in full flow as it runs the length of a wooden pier and dives headlong into a river, before the inevitable post-swim shake-off drenches its family.
Finally, there’s “Great Hair,” a parody of haircare advertising, with an Afghan hound frolicking in a meadow, the sunlight playing on its golden, silky coat while a sassy, showtune-style score sets the tone.
The three spots were created in-house and directed by Tucker Bliss in various locations around Montreal. They will appear across major broadcast and streaming channels.
The campaign follows the brand’s Emmy-nominated 2023 Super Bowl spot, “Forever,” about the bond between a girl and her dog. Last year’s “Referee” showed a beleaguered referee getting some comfort from a canine friend.
“We’ve always believed in the power of authentic storytelling and celebrating dogs. Our new campaign pushes that even further,” The Farmer’s Dog co-founder and CEO Jonathan Regev said in a statement.
“We’re highlighting those profoundly relatable, often humorous moments that define the bond we share with our pets, all while showcasing the life-changing benefits that come from feeding real, minimally processed food.”
